I saw a movie once where some SEALS were using their knives to cut a fence. It took 2 that were hooked together at the end to form a scissor like function that cut the wire. I didn't have anything like that in the Army but it could be some special knives made for SEAL teams. At least it worked in the movie for Sylvester Stallone.

Most any knife will cut bob wire. You lay the wire across the top of the fence post, slide your knife under the wire, blade edge up, then hit the wire with the butt of your Colt.

My BIL tried to use his 20 year old Ruger pistol to hammer something and busted the hand grips. He took it in for repair and the dealer told him " this gun is still under warranty" and put on new grips for no charge. Now that is a good warranty.

Ruger does indeed have a great warranty...I wound up with a late 50's Ruger bearcat 22 pistol that belonged to my wife's grandad and it was missing the cylinder. I contacted Ruger ,they said they still had cylinders in stock for it. paid the shipping to them and they installed the new cylinder and dolled it up. Then they shipped it back to me at no charge..

One illustrated here. All I've seen use the scabbard as the other half of the cutter.

No, no, no. It would be "Bobbi". I just had a flash back to Lorena Bobbit.

It could have been this knife, it was not a good detail (night shot in the movie) so it looked like he hooked 2 pieces of a knife together. $175 is a lot to pay for a barbed wire cutter though. I think my HF small bolt cutter was about $20 and works well for wire and rebar up to #4.
