New John Deere 5075E Cab

I am not sure about that brake thing. My 5083E does the exact same thing, and it is dangerous when you have a load on and step on the pedal and it goes to the floor. It should not be that way and I have complained over and over and they won't do anything about. To me its a safety hazard.

I have had the same a/c issues as well. Since I have had mine, the a/c has never worked correctly one time that I have needed it. It has been low of freon every single time and I have to add some myself to get the job done with a/c. They have had it 4 times and can't seem to get it fixed. Also had to have a new thermostat put in it as well already. Last winter it wouldn't heat and this summer it won't cool. I have not been happy with this tractor at all.
The one thing it seems to do okay on is pulling my HX15 batwing cutter. It does that pretty well. I like the features and the layout, but I need that thing to do what I paid it to do, and that is WORK.

Have you tried a different dealer? Those seem like issues that they should not have trouble taking care of.

I have not had any issue with the 3pt hitch being unable to lift after I lower it. I have not heard of that issue either.

As far as the brakes are concerned, they basically go to the floor when you first press them. If you let off and press them immediately again, they feel normal. No, I don't like it. Yes, the dealer did tell me that it was designed this way and was done to eliminate the sticking brakes that were reported previously. Whether or not they are giving me accurate information......I don't know.

How is the suspension on your seat? I got a 5055E a couple of months ago and the seat has bottomed out since I got it, no matter what it is set at. When I had to get a service truck to come out to fix a minor problem I asked them about it and they looked at it and guessed it was "normal", because they are not that familiar with mechanical suspension cab seats (used to air seats).

It's not the best, but it is ok. I wish it had an adjustable backrest. As far as the suspension is concerned, its ok, but it is definitely no air seat! I weigh 200 lbs, and I have the suspension set as high as it will go. If I weighed 20 lbs more, I believe the seat would bottom out as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if you can install an air seat. I have noticed that the electrical wiring is already there.

You can order an air seat with adjustable back rest. I just did.

I had...repeat, HAD...a 4720 cab that I just sold and it had A/C issues too. Everytime I pulled a disc on a warm day, not a hot day, just a warm day, it puked out all of its freon. The first time it happened the dealer had it for two weeks and the second time they had it for 10 days. I decided there wasn't going to be a third time. The fellow who bought it just sent me a text today indicating that it went out again, and thankful that it was still covered under warranty. The dealer had assured me the last time that it was good to go. I think there are a lot of JD dealers out there who think they can get by on John Deere's reputation alone, which by the way, is not being well honored by the home office these days...IMO.

I own an auto repair facility and my service manager has been telling me that he believes the problem is with the condensor being crammed into a small space with other cooling mechanisms and small particulate matter accumulating over time that can't be removed by normal clean out efforts. His contention is that everything needs to be taken out and thoroughly cleaned and put back together, which would take hours. Pretty annoying given what you have to pay to get one of these machines.

How tight is your rockshaft control lever?

Mine is really stiff, its actually somewhat hard to move it up or down.

It's really a pain to use, which is why I much prefer using a finishing mower (where I can just put it all the way down) or a pull-type cutter so I don't have to use the control lever.

I've never seen a rockshaft control without numbers beside it, or that doesn't go up and down effortlessly.

I have a new cab 5075E. I have had tons of problems. I also had the rock shaft very hard to move and had to have the cable replaced. It is not normal so take it in.
