if it was a gfi circuit.. and it probably IS.. it would just pop it anyway. ground path current and all..

Thanks all. The wire connecting to the circuit breaker in the box were not connected. I torqued the white wire down well. Thanks folks. Cash is tight right now and I saved some because of this forum. Thanks
chances are very good that neutral wire is not a single straight run and hits a junction somewhere..
The ones I have worked on / installed are this wayI dunno, my house the dishwasher is on its own breaker and it is a home run right into the junction box on the bottom of the dishwasher. Sure simpler that way.
