My Kubota B2910 currently has Kubota's 2 pin Quick-Attach on it but since I'm acquiring more implements for the loader other than just pallet forks I'm looking to make changing them out even easier.

I picked up Titan's SSQA roll-you-own SSQA brackets and some plates.

First question I'm dealing with in terms of building the tractor side SSQA is where exactly to position the brackets within the (implement side) plate. There are four slots on the plates for the bracket's pins could engage into: A. two square slots and B. two rectangular ones.

So which ones would you use ... and most importantly: why ?

Truth be told, I'd really prefer to use the placement shown in the first image, closer to the outside of the QA plate - because it lines up just about perfect with the spread on my loader's arms. (That way I could weld the pin-on brackets off my current bucket directly onto to Titan's QA brackets, without much more than a cross tube.)

Any reason not to ?

Second question is how much smaller to make the tractor side of the QA assembly that fits on the loader, in order to ensure to it has plenty of clearance to fit in the implement side plate.

Evidently, SSQA isn't as quite as popular as I had heard ...

This may help, the drawing I have shows the pin spacing at 33".

After checking the placement/fit, with the pin spacing of the Titan brackets set at 33", the tractor-side SSQA on the loader will have 5/8" clearance on either side if I weld the brackets off my bucket directly onto the plates, flush.

I'll have recheck the loader arm spread dimensions, but think this is going to work perfectly. The only additional material I should have to add is a piece of tube/pipe to connect the left and right brackets together.

I'm getting ready to buy steel for another project and I think I'll have some extra 1 1/2" Schedule 80 that I can use.

... or build ... :D

I picked up the steel today for my other project - a root rake/grapple - so once the sun comes up and there is a little light, I'll take the measurement between the brackets on my bucket and cut the pipe to connect the two Titan SSQA brackets together to form the tractor-side SSQA mechanism ...

Supposed to rain this morning ... but then sunny in the afternoon ... so I might even get the brackets cut off the bucket ... or at least get started on it.
