There have been a lot of great threads on TBN, but the best of them is a distant, distant second to this one. It represents the power of the Internet at its very best. It is a testament to the character, spirit and skill of the team involved in this act of love. It is also the product of TBN, which provided the '...pleasant, and friendly environment....' that attracted such kind and generous people, kept them coming back to share long enough to build electronic, and ultimately, face to face relationships. Fantastic people at a fantastic site.

I have not had time lately to visit TBN but did see this thread today and had to take time to reply.

I would like to thank those involved in this project for Jim and Kathy, what a great and true example of friendship.

I have read Jim's post over the years and know if we ever met in person we would be great friends and even though we have never met I still consider him a friend and wish I could have been there to help. (He also adopted me in the Texas Spring and Summer thread)

Jim, I look forward to your return to posting. Keep looking forward Jim, can't wait to see you posting again.

Hi Jim, that looks like an amazing lift! I've never seen a "porchlift" with that kind of height before. Can you give me a ballpark of what it cost to buy something like that? It looks like it must be a 12-foot tall deck! I used to think the attached picture from MI was tall, but I guess everything is bigger & better in TX. Thanks for this great thread.
