uh.. sorry, figutred i was talking to a audience that would be capable to follow progression i could omit a few quite obvious steps..

like stop tractor. block tires, loosen lugnuts, jack wheel up, take wheel and tire off.

break down tire bead

Sorry there Mr. Perfect but in your progression of steps you forgot to mention mark the valve location on the tire so if he has a tube he can match up the problem area on the tire to find what caused the leak. It is not uncommon for people to tube a tire that has a thorn in it and leave the thorn in the tire and still have problems.

there is just a standard progression of things you do when you 'do something'.

If a guy tells me he has a flat tire and I tell him to change the tire. it is ASSUMED he will JACK UP the car FIRST... even thought I didn't specifically say it. IE. it's assumed to be part of the procedure.

just like retubing a tire casing.. you do all the steps needed in order to do so. inspecting the casing is but one of those steps!
