This is not normal. My 5075e cab at 90 degrees still blows cold air. Cab does heat up some with the sun. But my dial rarely goes on fan speed 2.

Agreed. I operate a 4440 for a cattle farming friend of mine on occasion. On 90+ degree days, the cab stays comfortable, 72-75 degrees or so. This is a much older tractor than yours, this leads me to believe you have a blockage somewhere. Do a thorough cleaning of the system and see if that helps. Also, TX Jim gives great advice. He has helped me in the past directly and indirectly by reading some of his posts. I recommend following his advice- very knowledgeable.

Thanks for the compliment. After working for a JD dealer for over 21 yrs and having a custom hay baling business for an additional 27 yrs repairing my equipment I strive to give correct information. Thanks,Jim

I have thought about putting a valve in my heater hoses, but I not sure which one is the feed line and which one is the return line. Is there a way to tell?

Either one will work to stop the circulation.

A quick and easy way to be sure the heater is not causing the problem is to pinch off one of the hoses with hose pinching pliers or clamp. In my experience, you can't expect 40 degree air in all conditions. A 30 or 40 degree drop from ambient temperature is a realistic number. Most often air flow across condensor is the problem. Even if fins look clean, dirt can be embedded and cause problems. What kind of pressures are you running when ambient temperature is in the 90's?

I wouldn't do anything but call your salesman and have him send a service guy. Only 70 hours it's not dirty it's a leak for sure.

We don't know without physically being there to check the system out. I can tell you that there are times when you can block the air to the condenser in a few hours, same with the cabin filter.

I called my local dealer and had them schedule a service call. The technician was supposed to check the tractor late last week, but he didn't make it. Maybe he will make it early this week.

I used the tractor for about 2 hours yesterday with 90 degree outside temps. The air coming out of the vents stayed about 45 degrees and everything was great. That is what is so confusing. Most of the time, the air is nice and cool, but on occasion, it will blow 70-80 degrees. The condenser is clean. The filters are only mildly dirty. This problem was occurring when the tractor, and filters, were brand new.

On many newer cars using r134a they have a charge volume by weight. On my older cars using R12 after vacuuming out you knew to add a small can and reading the pressure gauges. I probably used two cans on the car system. I see articles about the r134a repairs using gauges but nothing about purging with a vacuum pump then filling by weight. In any event pressure gauges are used to check the performance. Low charge means the evaporator coil could be freezing the longer the tractor AC is running. The more it freezes the less air flow over it to help cool the conditioned air. https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090817181951AA20te6
