My new Kubota with Air ride seat

Yep. According to the photo the fore/aft is included. There is no OPS on this seat but i dont care about that. The Grammer I ordered has the same size base size and height as the OEM one but the floor has to be level for it to work so I have a small mod I need to do on the floor.

Did you ever price up the OEM seat? Shocking to say the least. If you anyone had to replace there OEM seat the OEM system will cost you just for the seat portion $1549.40. Then if you need the lower suspension system then that will cost you another $869. I think we got a deal lol

I did hit a snag on my air ride seat. The dealer i ordered the seat from said everything was in stock so we paid for it then they called back a few hours later and said they can't find the right arm rest in there stock so I told them not to ship the seat until they have all the parts. Now it will be a month before I get it.

They also told me to get the heated option it would cost an extra $300 and take at least 45 days so I'm passing on that and will add the heated option myself for 1/3 the cost. I'll have a thread on the full installation including adding the heated option when I get it all.

4shorts, as usual I and I'm sure many others are looking forward to air ride seat modification
thread!

4Shorts. On the seat I got I all so had the option for heated back to......since I have a cab tractor with a great heater I did not think this option was worth it to me.

Thanks Stu. Glad to hear your looking forward to the thread. It should be a little different than what I usually do but adding the heated seat elements and a slight mod to the floor should keep you from dozing off

Yes I would agee that it's really not a necessity but I do have heated seats in my other vehicles and use them all the time. Even in the summer there used. I find it soothing on the back. I could have ordered the option with this seat but it would take 45 days or longer to get the thing. Right now I'm just waiting three weeks and I will be adding the heated option myself. Grammer wanted $300. For the option and I can buy an aftermarket kit with a two year warranty for $100. So I figured it's worth it.

I'm thinking about using this seat in my L5030 and looking at the Kubota bracket it looks like you could use spacers to get the new seat level instead of cutting ...what do you think?

The seat and pan I used worked out very well for having the seat level. I do not slide forward any more which is a big plus for me.

In my case and the seat I used if you use spacers instead of cutting the pan the seat will be to high. It would add 2" in height. I'm order to get away with just using spacers you'll need a low profile seat (forklift seat ) similar to the one DDT used.

Thanks for the reply...I just ordered a Grammer MSG95G Air Suspension seat, I looked over all the dimensions and looks the same as the MSG75. What did you do with the PTO/engine kill switch under the original Kubota seat

The Grammer seat model I used is MSG-93-721. When I removed the original seat I re-mounted it in an old Zetor tractor for a customer of ours but before I did I removed both switches and integrated them onto the Grammer. It was no easy task but I get it done :)

Has anyone heard if Kubota is offering an air suspension seat for the Grand L yet? They did release one for the M narrow so I would hope they could do something similar for you Grand L guys since we both have the same basic narrow cab. Of cours I think Pauls seat is a lot better then the Grammar MSG-75 that Kubota offers for the M narrow but it is still better then the stock one that came in mine.

Wel,l I had to send back the Grammer MSG95 the base of the seat was to wide. I re-ordered a MSG75 just like DDT's bought the cover from the M- series from my local dealer just waiting for the new seat. Question for DDT: did you add more bolts to the OEM seat pan or just use the 4-on top and the 2-in front? Also how many bolts did you use on the MSG75 seat base? Thanks

oh yea, what's the going rate on a used-almost new L5740 seat?

Pegneck, I use the 4 on top for both the pans and the two in front for the OEM pan, the seat mounts to the rear of the seat pans. seat is strong and soild.

DDT, thanks for the reply. My seat just showed up and I'll install tomorrow. I noticed the electrical connection has 5-wires square plug. Do I need all 5-wires or just 2 to get 12volts to the seat? Which wires did you use?

DDT, Seat installed just like you did what a difference! Question on wiring, I used add-a fuse and have it connected to the dome light which is always on(key on off position) does this matter? Or should it be controlled with the key on...ie radio ? Thanks

You will have to pump it up every so often to keep the needle in the center of window, thats the only time it uses power. Your choice. I dont remember how I wired mine.....been to long now, might have to look...

Air ride seat on about anything

With hardware, steel and determination you can put an air-ride seat in about anything. I helped this guy who was crushed by a horse and had severe back pain install an air-ride seat in an old Belarus tractor. Gary McDonald uses an air-ride seat to cushion his back.jpg
