Loren, it boils down to this:. We are never going to convince you of anything about Global Warming or what ever the heck they are calling it these days. I used to buy into Global warming, but not for a long time.. Now I am what you call a "denier". So be it. I am tired of trading cut and past back and forth with you. And I would hope you are too.

But here is what is important. I don't want you and "your kind" and you know who you are, to make public policy and wreck this economy even more than it has been wrecked. So I will oppose you where it counts, at the polls. See you in November to see who controls the Senate, to help put a stop to more "climate change" bills and I will see in in 2016 to hopefully unload someone who I consider has done a horrible job at governing this nation.

This is all that matters, I could care less what you believe in your heart of hearts. Just know that we and millions more like me are out here to defeat your ideas in the arena of public opinion. And if we are successful in the upcoming elections, I promise not to gloat about it as I realize this subject is near and dear to your heart and you firmly believe in it. And if you and yours are successful, then I will just look down, and watch this nation go down the drain.

This is our system, and this is our way of settling these types of disputes. Respectfully yours, James

Loren, How many batteries and power plants would have to made and bought, to actually 'save the planet'?
After that, How many thousands of battery 'recycling' factories would have to be built, to deal with the addition of millions of very large batteries to the planet?

I would rather have global warming . Instead of another (5th) ice age that scientists were all positive about in the 1970's. We know the earth can cool. There is knowledge of at least four past ice ages and re-warming.

Spot on, I'd support a law stopping the federal government and the EPA from regulating CO2. Just put a end to it, remove governments authority to regulate CO2. HS

It's been such a cleverly crafted hoax by those who will profit: to hoodwink the public into believing a molecule we all exhale, and plants absorb, that molecule being CO2 is now pollution, and you must spend your tax money to change it, to save earth from this 'pollution'
Sheeple we must be...

You've copy and pasted some pretty obvious propaganda in your time here. This one is one of the dumbest articles yet.
It opens with:
"The IMF says that price of gasoline in the U.S. covers the cost of producing and distribution gasoline but it doesn't reflect the costs that gasoline consumption imposes on society in the form of traffic, congestion, pollution and global warming."

Wow, did someone actually say and print a statement that stupid? Does this person not know that VEHICLES cause traffic and congestion, not gasoline???
The rest of the article got worse.

Do you even take the time to read the junk you copy and paste???

If we paid the full cost of fuel at the pump (likely $10 to $15 dollars a gallon) there would be less traffic, smaller vehicles, more public transit and therefore less traffic congestion. Yes I do read what I post. We'll just have to disagree on the stupidity level of some statements. You could disagree with out calling someone or something stupid and go for a personal attack. Its ok to be civil.

RealClimate: The global cooling myth
Probably the best summary of the time was the 1975 NAS/NRC report. This is a serious sober assessment of what was known at the time, and their conclusion was that they didn’t know enough to make predictions. From the “Summary of principal conclusions and recommendations”, we find that they said we should:

Establish National climatic research program
Establish Climatic data analysis program, and new facilities, and studies of impact of climate on man
Develope Climatic index monitoring program
Establish Climatic modelling and applications program, and exploration of possible future climates using coupled GCMs
Adoption and development of International climatic research program
Development of International Palaeoclimatic data network
Which is to say, they recommended more research, not action. Which was entirely appropriate to the state of the science at the time. In the last 30 years, of course, enormous progress has been made in the field of climate science.

References to support your claim of predictions would be useful.

Has nothing to do with gas. It's vehicles. I guess, you're not even capable of seeing how wrong it is.
Battery cars can/would/will, cause just as much traffic congestion. It's just a dumb intentional misleading article.

How many of you would like fuel to cost $10 to $15 per gallon?..Show of hands, how many would like gasoline to cost a heck of a lot less than it does now?.. My hand is up for the second one. I would like cheap plentiful fuel to kickstart this Obama economy, put people back to work, and lower the price of every thing that is transported from A to B. Our old buddy above would like nothing better than for fuel to be expensive to get us our of our "gas guzzlerss" and taking the bus, like good little boys and girls...he drools at the mouth thinking "if only we could make gasoline cost the true cost, then we would all see the clear way forward"..
"what a wonderful world it would be".. sarcasm font off. Why not skip all the cut and paste, and tell us your true political goals. I have shown you mine, now show us yours.
