Are hummingbirds running late?

Saw a nice ruby throated one at our planters this morning. Very busy. Northern Indiana.

Still have two here in central NH. It was 39 this am. We want to pull the feeders to push them along but don't want to cheat them of the fillup before they leave.

We still have a few hummers visiting. I'm guessing they are migrating south from Wyoming or further north. They'll stay a day or so, rest, and move on. At this time of year, it seems typical. We'll keep our feeders out for another week or two. I hate the idea of a little guy running late, caught in the cold, short on energy, with no food available.
