I would love to have a BX as a lawn mower, but would rather use the L3800 for loader work.

I think some times people are misleading in posting what they do with their BX(or even other tractors). They post pictures of doing a big job and don't tell how long it took to do or lie about how long it took.

Shame all us BX owners lie about what our machines do and post these big jobs and don't tell it took us a year and a half to do them. You should sell your B and get a real backhoe, that toy you have is just too small and too slow to do anything.

This passive aggressive BS is getting old....people just do not want to admit that the BX is a great machine that will do what 99% of small property owners need it to do. It is those with little D!ck syndrome and their testosterone laden comments about how little and slow the BX is that push people into too much machine....they also seem to have a strong need to justify the added expense of those larger machines stuffing it down our necks and now calling us liers. Just go into that added debt the economy is strong you will always have your job and it will save you so much time....if it took two days it will now only take a day and a half, and cost you another $5g up front not to tack on added fuel costs, more expensive tires, more oil for changes.....yes great idea I should have done it, I am an idiot and a lier as well....stupid me.

Tell us why would anyone buy such a small machine as a B.....you should be getting a bulldozer, a tracked excavator, and a loader backhoe....quit messing around with these small tractors as they are not designed to do this type of work anyway....they are to pull a plow.

Compromise is part of life...

Do you size your equipment to do everything or to do80 or 90% and pocket the difference?

Part of working the ground I own and one of the reasons I first bought my BX is timing... there are optimal times to dig and not... at the end of a summer with 150 days with not a drop of rain digging can be challenging... the sweet spot for me is a few days after an inch or two of rain...

I excavated for a 5000 gallon water tank pad for my neighbor... used the 110 Backhoe and it made quick work moving material.

I then headed for home and he and his son had shovels in hand to level the pad... told him I was going home to get my "Finish" tractor and came back with the BX which perfectly leveled the pad in no time...

It was light enough not to make ruts and maneuverable enough to go where the big TLB couldn't

Neighbor pulled out a straight 12' board with level and commented the site was perfectly level and I smiled and said isn't that what you wanted?

Why do you lie like that.

Yea hit a nerve, but I am so sick of it. And calling those of us out that take the time and effort to try to show what the machine can really do AND THEN TO TELL ME I LIE....I would have busted his jaw in person, that really ticked me off, just sorry some people are just TOO F-ING STUPID TO UNDERSTAND.

No where will you ever find me saying that this machine can do everything including brush your teeth and ______ yes everything has limits, some seem to want to put a BX in the same category as a Tonka truck....or better and more common a wheel borrow, and some IDIOTS that are TOO STUPID to know how to use a machine to its strengths will never get that....too bad those people are allowed to procreate.

Trust me that is VERY watered down.

I think people that are used to larger machines or have a second larger machine are going to be disappointed in the loader on a BX. I guess I don't understand people saying you can't dig with one. Loose rock or soil I can drive my BX into the pile and fill the bucket up easy. Once you get a hole started it seems like the BX will even dig OK in hard ground. I told someone once I could dig a basement for a house with a BX if I had to. It might take a few weeks but I could do it.

If you plan to keep the machine forever, you could probably have saved some money and found one without a loader. If you plan to sell it some day, the new owner might decide to buy it because the option of the loader is there. Adding one after is very expensive.
I haven't had the loader on my BX2200 for over 5 years, as my B2410 sits right beside it. Some day I will sell it and the fact that a loader, mower and snowblower goes with the deal will make it a quick sale.

Where did Roger mention you by name? He didnt. Your rant is out of line.

He quoted and agreed with the OP who has the the right to his opinion, just like Roger does.

I have no doubts, owning a BX myself, that some on here are a little bit fuzzy with time on task numbers. Usually to try to justify that their smaller machine works just as well and more importantly just as fast as a larger machine... The reality is in most cases, the opposite is true.

The BX is a tough, LITTLE machine. Argue all you want about your "opinion" on how strong the BX is, but you cant argue with the physics. Its light weight and small hydraulic cylinders can only do so much.

Can you do a lot of work with one? Yeah, if you got all year to do it. I just dug out a pine stump, 24" dia. It took all day. A reasonable sized backhoe or small excavator would pull the same stump in 15 minutes.

This thread is like the 120v welder threads, where the BX is the 120v welder.
