I'd like to try 'B' out to but I was at my dealer today and eyed the height of the B vs the BX and am thinking I would have already rolled it on my steep hill. Yeah would absolutely love the extra power but I know now that CG is so important to me. So much that I need even a lower CG machine (zero turn) for mowing.

I agree on the GC, I've had the BX tipsy more than once.

Right, if you think low GC, you understand the squatty tires. They may not help much on rough ground, but sure will on sloped ground.

You have to add a tooth bar for it to become a something mythical:D

I think that most SCUT owners are first time tractor buyers and have never been around a tractor before. They don't know anything about equipment and they think the BX is great for them whether or not it is.

I have a toothbar but its home made... Maybe the Pirhana is where the magic is. :)

Hi everybody. I've looked at this forum a few times a week for years but have never posted. I've been watching this thread since it began. I was hoping 4shorts would weigh in the situation, he seems pretty knowledgeable about tractors. I can't believe that some people can not see the value in having a BX. I've had mine for 8 years and I have put 187 hard hours on it. I've dug out large stumps, moved mulch and gravel, and other maintenance around my property.

I think tractor size is the problem, not brand or model.

Excellent idea! Thanks! I don't, and won't, have concrete bags around, but I'm probably due for a load of softener salt. I've thought my fel may need to be shimmed after 10 years and this would be a great test.

Finally tested mine out. 8 40 lb bags of salt and a dozen 10 lb. weights was all I had handy. So mine took 440 lbs to max height at just over idle and about 40 degrees with no warmup. Maybe I don't need to worry about a shim.

Sounds good to me!
