Like anytime all us handyman get ready to do anything, having the proper tool or tools to do the job is always the first thing to try a figure out.
The tough part for some is that they cann,t figure what the proper tool for the job is. Once they get that properly figured out, the job becomes much less frustrating, and much more enjoyable.
My little BX2360, with the front loader, moved 58 tons of pea stone in 2 days just beautiful. The neighbours even came over to watch. As a reward when I was finished, I gave it a nice bath, towel dry, and wax job, so it looks just like new again. I brought it back in the nice cozy warm garage, and then gave it a hug, and covered it over with a nice Mexican blanket. Saved me a ton of back braking shovel and wheelbarrowing for weeks. No complaints whatsoever from this happy owner.:D

I have many different sizes of wrenches. None are any better than the other due to their size only. I feel the same about tractors. I don't have a BX but could see many, many uses.

Haha. I love my bx and loader. Didn't buy it to move mountains. I knew that 75% of its life would be mowing grass. The loader is very capable within reason though. I don't think people are educated on equipment and awnest with themselves when purchasing. I bet for everyone 1 person that buys a tractor and complains that it's not big enough, there's 2 persons that buy a tractor way bigger than they need!

Bigger isn't always better, its all in how you use it, kind of like "its not the length of your wand, but the magic is processes".

Shame all us BX owners lie about what our machines do and post these big jobs and don't tell it took us a year and a half to do them. You should sell your B and get a real backhoe, that toy you have is just too small and too slow to do anything.

This passive aggressive BS is getting old....people just do not want to admit that the BX is a great machine that will do what 99% of small property owners need it to do. It is those with little D!ck syndrome and their testosterone laden comments about how little and slow the BX is that push people into too much machine....they also seem to have a strong need to justify the added expense of those larger machines stuffing it down our necks and now calling us liers. Just go into that added debt the economy is strong you will always have your job and it will save you so much time....if it took two days it will now only take a day and a half, and cost you another $5g up front not to tack on added fuel costs, more expensive tires, more oil for changes.....yes great idea I should have done it, I am an idiot and a lier as well....stupid me.

Tell us why would anyone buy such a small machine as a B.....you should be getting a bulldozer, a tracked excavator, and a loader backhoe....quit messing around with these small tractors as they are not designed to do this type of work anyway....they are to pull a plow.

I suggest you go back through this thread and read my posts. You did not understand what I said. Also you need to look at my profile and see what tractors I have listed.:irked:

I would have busted his jaw in person

That made my day:laughing:

I've moved multiple tri-axle loads of limestone/dirt/bank gravel etc with my BX23 and have never had a problem. Does it take longer than a D9, yes. I see my BX as a Swiss army knife, does everything fine, nothing perfect...All of this garbage about a BX being a glorified lawn tractor--those individuals should talk to all of those who were very impressed with what my BX could do.

If the OP couldn't figure out how to use the FEL properly, it's not the BX's fault.

Can't help myself...

I have never mowed with my BX23 and doubt I ever will...

Mowing is the least of my concerns.

What I was looking for was something along the lines of a teramite tlb... then I found Tractor by Net and discovered the Kubota BX line.

The teramite is very capable if not a bit crude... the gas engine ones I'm familiar with guzzle gas... the BX sips diesel... I was sold!

Anything wider would not have been able to dig out my basement and in that one job it paid for itself...

Where did Roger mention you by name? He didnt. Your rant is out of line.

He quoted and agreed with the OP who has the the right to his opinion, just like Roger does.

I have no doubts, owning a BX myself, that some on here are a little bit fuzzy with time on task numbers. Usually to try to justify that their smaller machine works just as well and more importantly just as fast as a larger machine... The reality is in most cases, the opposite is true.

The BX is a tough, LITTLE machine. Argue all you want about your "opinion" on how strong the BX is, but you cant argue with the physics. Its light weight and small hydraulic cylinders can only do so much.

Can you do a lot of work with one? Yeah, if you got all year to do it. I just dug out a pine stump, 24" dia. It took all day. A reasonable sized backhoe or small excavator would pull the same stump in 15 minutes.

This thread is like the 120v welder threads, where the BX is the 120v welder.

I agree:thumbsup:

Hold on guys, I need some popcorn for this one.

I heard that the BX loader frame was welded with a 110volt MIG machine.
