Buying Advice Kubota B2920 - good tractor?

I had no complaints about the quarter-incher. In fact, I have position control on my latest tractor and can't say it's any better for my uses.

I don't think it is a pain. It works as well as position control, it just takes a little more getting used to. I don't think it is a detriment.

Never used quarter inching valve. Is it a pain? Would it be a major factor not to get the tractor?

I just bought a B2320 and I am still getting used to its quarter-inching valve. I prefer the position control on my utility tractor, but I don't find the quarter-inching valve to be a pain.

Thank you. Have anybody had any issues with the MMM adjustment knob not staying in the position? Cutting at 3" and it dropping down to 2"? I read past posts having this issue. Wasn't sure if kubota or a member found a fix?

I don't have that problem. I have a 60" MMM on mine and it is a fantastic deck and a pleasure to mow with.

Just from my experience

I had a B2920 w/ MMM and loader. It did leave a great cut. This tractor did have a valve issue with the loader but outside if that the tractor seemed indestructible. I literally a used the machine for nearly 300 hours and it begged for more. I used (cautiously) a 72" brush cutter to clear some of my land and it handled it. This isn't recommended but it worked. I had hooks welded on the bucket and used them all the time. I literally took my mower off and loader or weekly if not more.

What I did not like was the quarter inch valving. Truly a pain. I read on here and "the other site" that quarter inch valving won't drop. FALSE. For instance if you have a 3pt implement and leave it up over night, it will be on the ground come morning. If I do that with any 3pt on my grand with position control it will stay were ever I leave it.

Also, when tilling, brush cutting, etc I always have my hand on the three point for unlevel ground and I can lower or raise and know where it's supposed to be. 4 is always 4. A quarter inch valve was just a pain as you can raise and lower and you'll get used to it but definitely not as nice as position control.

With all they said, the b2920 is a beast of a tractor and I had great experiences with it.

I have a very similar tractor b2620 with same mower loader and backhoe. Its a great machine. Quater inching is not a big deal for me.

Close the flow-rate valve under the seat and it will not drop. When closed, it basically stops fluid from leaving the lift cylinder, so it can't bleed down.
