Thanks Brandi,
Unfortunately it's not my machine. But my friend let me use it between his jobs.
So cool.

They are the Best!
The dirt is spread, hay seed in and the water level is coming up. I lost about 1' of water from the dig.

I guess not Eddie. Today my wife and I added this cool looking log. I hope the turtles will use it to sun bathe.

That log would make a great place to shoot those turtles with a .22!

Sorry, but after a bad experience with a snapper I hate turtles.

We shoot the snapping turtles and let the red ear sliders live.

I was thinking that shooting some would keep the gator well fed but then saw OP was in Maine. Do they even have snappers in Maine?

We do have snapper here in Maine.
We had our first turtle the very next day and every day since. We had as many as 4 at a time.
The geese have brought in 5 babies. And now a mallard duck is hanging around the log.

We don't shoot things at the pond and as long as the critters don't bother us we enjoy the view.

How did the fish do? Did the rainbow that you stocked back in 2007 stick around, and how about the smallmouth bass that magically appeared a bit later? Are they perpetuating themselves over the long run, or do you have to keep stocking them?

A snapper will gobble up those baby geese or ducks. I have a huge one here that I had to relocate. It came up on the lawn and I dumped a Rubbermaid storage tub over it to capture it. It was fiesty!

I scoop snappers up out of my gully with my backhoe.

We don't know what type of turtles we have. Every time we walk down to the pond to look they get back into the pond.
I havn't caught any trout so I really don't know how they are doing. The bass are thiving and there is plenty for them to eat.
Last fall I caught a small mouth 16.5" long 2.35lbs. Fishing is fun most of the bass seam to average between 10 to 14 inch.

Bob Izumi should be showing up any day now to try and catch some of your great big bass, Philbuilt. Bass will eat all of your trout, with a little salt and pepper, of course.

It's been awhile since I've post. I got frustrated when the app wouldn't let me post.
So today I tried and it seems to work.
Here is the pond aerator doing its job even with 18" of fresh snow
