I'm barely 6' but I've got a 76" reach... picture your basic ape.

So you are saying a fist fight with you would not be a good idea?:)

My dad was the same way, had the longest arm reach of anyone I ever saw. In his younger days some antagonist's learned that the hard way.:)

I knew a guy in the 60's who had a car (Rambler?) with fully-reclining front bench seat. That's a pretty useful feature for a high-schooler or college guy?

i heard that!

Yeah a fist fight with an armed man isn't wise..... hahahaha get it? Armed.... ok, that was lame.

My dad was a 6'3" monster WWII vet, God fearing Catholic with a very mild manner. Strongest words I ever heard him say was "Gosh dang it!" But there were a couple occasions where someone tried to harm our family (burglars), and my dad became a very scary dude. YIKES!!!

I live right near where that accident happened. That bridge that he went off is a private bridge going over to the property across 40 or so feet of small river. It's been lower than usual too being late in the season . He must have landed right in the middle of it. The bridge IIRC has no side rails being decades old and is just like a big ramp. The victim was hauling one of those huge Houle honey wagons. This is a big farm on hundreds of acres so it's all big equipment. I forget now which way he was going but if that wagon was full of liquid poo and you dropped a wheel over an edge it would surely take you right over. I heard they took him out and worked on him all the way to the hospital but it took almost a half hour to get him out from under water. One thing for sure, the response time must have been fast. The Volunteer Fire Rescue house is located just a few blocks away.
