If memory serves the TYM 503 was standard with more features and came with a different engine than the Mahindra (Perkins). If memory serves it was a 16/16 gear also so yes I would agree I wouldn't buy the Mahindra especially when the TYM was a lot less cash on top of it.

I am relatively certain that most if not all of the Mahindra TYM built tractors are of lesser features and or options than the actual TYM machines. If I was to ever get any of those cross over models, it would be a TYM model. Simply more and better features for less money. :confused2:

Mahindra ordered the 5010 with the Daedong engine (actually same exact engine as in the DK50 & McCormick he's looking at), while the TYM comes with the Cat/Perkins engine.

I wonder if TYM wouldn't agree to build them for Mahindra with the Cat/Perkins...sort of keep that as a "plus" for TYM badged machines.

You're probably right. I'm not sure the Cat/Perkins diesel is any better, worse, or same quality as the Daedong, but the name recognition is a selling point. If I had a TYM dealer near me, there's a real chance I'd be in a TYM instead of this Massey. Good value, though the loader Mahindra puts on that tractor is the best (spec wise) in the segment.
We have had Perkins engines in other equipment and they have been bullet proof so far, so that was a good selling point for me. I came very close to going with the TYM myself and it was on the list right to the end.

So the latest update . Went to see the McCormick tractor. The backhoe has to be ordered. Woods bh80x. Total comes to 32900 with . 9 for 84 months. So package has loader backhoe and I decided to get fork lift attachment. The dealer is going to consignment sale my ford 5000 for 5percent. My wife felt really comfortable operating. That really help make the decision. But the price seems fair. I just have to let the dealer know Monday my plans. Opinions or suggestions. Also I'll let you know the performance once it arrives in a few weeks
Does that price include the free loader on the DK? I know one of the dealers I shopped priced everything without the free loader program and was even foolish enough to argue with me that the DK didn't qualify for the program even with me having looked at the Kioti web site less than 5 min before heading into his shop and verifying it was indeed listed.
I would bet you any amount money that if the Mahindra dealer only had a HST model he would sing its praises! If a dealer or salesman lies to me even once they run a high chance of loosing my business very quickly. Heck the salesman who I purchased my old JD from had a lot of things he liked that I didn't. His honesty kept me interested and in the end earned him my business.
The wife being comfortable can also be a huge positive! Sometimes I wonder about the importance of it but days like today when having her follow me around with a loader full of millings so I can finish up the small must do by hand stuff it really pays off! Congrats on finally making a decision and enjoy your new machine.

The price on the do included the free loader. The dk50se is close to identical to the McCormick I test drove today.
The kioti dealer wanted 31500 for tractor and loader @0percent financing,
They couldnt match McCormick x150 h. With 0percent finance.
