Couches need serial numbers and address/phone number indelibly engraved so you can drop them back at the sloth owner's shole, preferably engulfed in flames.

I don't have any shots of me "fishing" since for me, it's a solo sport, but here is the couch before I gutted it. If you look at the earlier photo you can see the hay hook, no bait required. I love my hay hook, it's perfect for trash fishing.

I also agree about the serial number. Sadly all large pieces of furniture and appliances should come with something like that. Preferably in something impossible to remove, like a micro dot.

I don't know, serial numbers would lead to a registration database, and then there would have to be legislation to eliminate the "craigslist loophole" that would keep straw-buyers from amassing large amounts of unregistered furniture for diabolical purposes.

Micro dots, then the tosser could go to jail free for a solid month immediately, awaiting trial and have a mandatory fine of $5000 or 20% of the property owners tax bill to be paid for 20 years, on time, or back to jail. Three strike rule applies, and lethal injection if more than two strikes in one 5 year period.
Tattoo the micro dot in the middle of the forehead in day glow pink, of first time offenders, and mark each appliance when bought new or used. Use auto tazers to extract the data from the offender, one level below lethal.

Ya know... I was looking for some lost pallets just the other day under my old couch and for a minute I thought they were hiding there. I would not have spotted what looked to be them had the cambric not deteriorated.

We had one dumped on a client's land last winter. The local forest ranger found some mail down in the upholstery.
The previous owner was surprised to find his was a "boomerang couch" and returned to him within 12 hours... accompanied with a summons. :thumbsup:

He had driven over 40 miles to dump it!
