Had to pay federal taxes quarterly this year. There's more Arctic ice this year and there's less Arctic ice this year. Same for Antarctic ice. The rain in Spain stayed mainly on the plain, but the precipitation on Portugal stayed mainly on the plateau. Tundras have appear all over the USA, most of them with V8 engines. Waiting for glaciers to start popping up around the Great Lakes.

AL Gore made another $2.8 BILLION on all of this.

I base my winter weather projection on the number of rural mailboxes my hardware store orders for winter inventory. Their estimate on inventory is based on how many the snowplow operator is likely to destroy while flying down our rural roads.
Upon prodding I was told by the Hardware Store Manager that they base that estimate on a complicated Algebra formulae. It includes the age of the snowplow operator divided by the years of snowplowing multiplied by the rural tax rate, then using the square root of the summer average temperature you multiply how many winter weddings are booked at the Village hall, divided by Al Gore’s number of climate warming speaking engagements for the next twelve months. That then gives you the number of rural mailboxes to order for inventory.
More than 30 is a tough snow filled winter, less than 20 is thaw expected in February.

Hey, isn't that the formula everybody uses??:dance1:

Well, if we are losing a month or two, I vote for January, and February. :)

That is the best one I have heard. And just as valid as a caterpillar !

That is a good one.
I just check 3 of my snow shovels and on all 3 the plastic D handles have split. Either have to buy new handles or new shovels. Local hardware store that used to sell them closed its doors a few years ago. Don't think HD sells just the D handles. As to severity indicators I can't say. When I open the door and see snow I know I have to shovel and plow. Only way around it is to move further south.

The year used to have 10 months, starting with March. There are still traces.

Septem-ber = 7th month

Octo-ber = 8th month

Novem-ber = 9th month

Decem-ber = 10th month

We lost some number-names:

Quin-tilis = 5th month, renamed to July in honor of Julius Caesar.

Sex-tilis = 6th month, renamed to August in honor of Augustus.

Around here, we've proven, if you buy a shiny brand new sled, there will be little to no snow that winter. If you sell your snowmobile during the summer, the coming winter will be snowstorm after snowstorm.

Oh please, now you're bringing common sense into the equation. :D
