Seems to me if you had taken it back to your selling dealer you could have had the wrong relays fixed by checking the glow plug circuit, same with the radio. Now YOU chose to do the turbo add, and that's fine, but it's on you- your choice alone. So what's to hate?! One buys new, things go wrong- get fixed FREE while under warranty. So what's the problem, if any now that a couple of relays and a loose plug are resolved?:confused3:

Problem is it shouldn't have to be fixed at all. Friend of mine bought a new M108 and his loader hasn't worked right since new and they've tried and tried and tried to fix it. If somebody's gonna hack my machine it might as well be me. Besides just delivering my machine to the dealer for service blows half a day.

I'm one of those guys who doesn't vote but complains about the gubmint full time anyway.

Things that GO wrong are fine, things that should have never left the dealership that way should have been fixed, obviously these things were never checked.

Regards, Fred

Would be a nice world if everything from the factory were right, out of the box. Probably wouldn't need warranties much in that world. Real world is different, as you know. So QC misses a couple of things and the dealer was lax in PDI. You're lucky they were minor things that could be easily fixed.
Your expectations are too high for the reality of what is acceptable end user product in today's world of crap out the door/fix it under warranty. You are bound to be disappointed in most any thing you buy these days- I'm actually a lot like you, the difference is I want the seller/dealer/factory to make it right and not waste my time and more of my money.
How much time did it take to do the turbo conversion from start to finish? Fact is you paid for the repair already by buying new. So in essence you've paid twice to fix it once.
Choosing not to vote is a whole different situation. It's not relevant to this tractor thread.

I think it should be delivered right. If every machine built came back for warranty, they would go out of business. My machine was delivered right.

The turbo including every piece I bought or made was $1,000 not including any time.

I bought a new Jetta TDI in 2011, it never had any issues except recalls, it was delivered as promised.

I bought this 2012 L3940 and the day I got it home the radio was cutting out.

The next week I hooked up the new snowblower (from the same place) and they failed to tighten the hoses they made for the chute. OIL EVERYWHERE.

1 month later I was using the FEL and the third function remote THEY INSTALLED blew a plug that was never tightened by them.

When the weather got cold it wouldn't start, keep in mind this machine sat on their lot all Winter. Now THEIR pre-delivery report states the glow plug system was checked. Maybe, JUST MAYBE the relay swapped itself out during the Summer?

This same dealer quoted me $5,900 for a dump trailer. Their sister store said they could beat the price......by 50 dollars.

The dealer 10 miles down the road sold me the same trailer for $4,800 dollars.

Now I don't want to make too much of an argument here but YOU figure it out!

Do you think I'm going to buy another piece of equipment from them? NO, that's right.....NO.

Just because the level of commitment in this country has gone to heck in handbasket that does not mean I don't expect what was promised. Attention to details might be lacking for some but not for all.

If 4shorts fabbed up a piece of metal with bubble gum welds all over it and took fancy pictures and posted them here what would you think of his work then? Would you say his attention to detail was good or bad? Would that be ok given the standards set forth by the rest of the world?

Am I too fussy? I guess you have to figure that out for yourself.

Regards and not mad but I'll keep being fussy thank-you, Fred

We've had warranty repairs on John Deere, Massey Ferguson, Case, Koti and Kubota; wish it never happened but it does.

Not saying some don't happen. Are you saying every machine you or "we" have had, had warranty repairs???

No, we've had five Kubotas total, four new, still have four, three new John Deeres, still have one, one new Massey Ferguson we still have, one new Case we sold, one new Kioti we still have, the rest we bought used.

My point is I don't condemn any band based on one bad tractor.

I didn't think I did. How many had warranty repairs?
