You make it sound almost fun! Ha ha... and I agree on the Fein multi master. One of my favorite tools.
I had no idea I was even missing a Fein until I had some guys put new floors in our house. They used it to undercut the door jambs and trim, to notch the floors to go around things, etc. I drove down to HD and bought one. It's an amazing tool. I think the cheaper brands do about the same thing, but I only want to buy one of these ever so I just bit the bullet and paid the $195 or whatever it was for the kit. When you buy good tools, it only hurts once.

I bought the Dremel version. I love it. At first, I rarely thought to pull it out, but the more I use it, the more uses I find for it.

Funny, that is exactly the reason I bought mine... to cut the door jambs when I put in a tile floor. Sure beats tearing them all off or chiseling. Also great at cleaning up/fixing grout lines and sanding in tough to reach areas.

Whelp- a sharp knife did the trick. It is nice to know that I am in such good company.

My worst wrap around mess was we I sucked a crab pot with 1/2" rebar into my out board motor. Had to jump in the water which was filled with jelly fish to cut and saw the mess out. I was lucky it was calm.

A utility knife and a beverage?!?!? My brother in law tried that once! Now he can only count to 9!!! Ok just kidding but we did get chicken wire stuck in the boat motor! That wasn't fun either!
HA! That's pretty good!

You were lucky...I've seen wheels (propellers) forced off the shafts with just fishing line...let alone heavier gear etc...

I've used a sawzall before. I borrow my boss' tiller for the tractor and it always clogged when I get it. Since its normally delivered in the back of my truck and I have to lift it out with the loader, I sit it on the edge of my deckover trailer (good working hight) and block it up safely. Then a sawzall with a long blade makes quick work of most of the trash he leaves wound up in there, but good wire cutters and a sharp utl knife are always on hand as well.

Good luck...

Thats why you get to 'borrow' it.

Worked on a purse seiner in the Gulf of Ak one summer. The seine, all the rope & otter boards got wrapped up in the prop and prop shaft. One of the deck hands with diving equipment could not remove it. We had to be towed home with our own tender skiff and go up on the marine ways. Thought the captain was going to have a heart attack, he was so mad.

I wound up a load of old baling wire in my rototiller. I really didn't notice anything until I hoses off the tines. It took quite a while to clear that up.
