New model Kubota MX5800

   / New model Kubota MX5800 #12
I was looking at getting a MX5100 and doing the same. What makes this machine what it is, is a simple turbo swap. Nothing more to it. They use the same engine in their 48-62HP tractors changing nothing but the turbo and the settings for fuel delivery. You'll see this engine in the grand Ls in that HP range. Check out the parts diagrams, they are all the same except the turbo (most likely just the waste gate / blow off)

Are the injectors and cam shaft the same between them. I could see the majority of the engine components being shared as that is very common, but turbo, injectors, cam are different with the hp change a lot of times.

Only checked turbo'd models, they had all of the same components except turbo assembly. Not sure if the non-turbo motor has different internals, probably the same due to lower cost of MFG all of the same parts.

That would make it easy to jump up a model with a easy turbo swap.

It's nice to know my motor in the MX5100 is capable of 61.4 hp, but is "de-rated" to 52 hp. To me, that means it's stout enough to handle the higher power. It should last a very long time!

I was thinking the same thing!
