Let's not get into the military intelligence??? thing; being an old vet I don't believe it exists
The best american music was created by the military. It's not even close. The man was a marine and his music leaves the Grand Canyon between the next person you might argue. HSJust like military music eh? Joking aside, I would much prefer to follow the mil spec standards which are derived from scientific principles and empirical data than accept the validity of commercial hype for fuel additives. How many people wasted money on STP oil treatment until it was finally debunked. Remember the "sucker born every minute" ethos of American marketers.
I believe all military fuels are formulated different from consumer grades. I know the aviation fuels have a much lower gel point and are less dense.

Knowing our military they probably use kerosene called something else that costs $20 a gallon. I use PS in the white bottle only because it's real easy to get. The only other easy to get additive is Howes but it was rated worse for lubricating and is about the same price. If I could walk into a store and buy Opti-Lube I probably would.
You know of course that each fuel company adds their own priority additives to fuel, it's what makes the brands different. It ever occur to you you might be able to improve on that... HSBut what evidence, other than marketing material and anecdotal word of mouth, makes you think any of those expensive additives are doing your engine any good?
