From your first post I am guessing that you have forks.

How about this idea for the 5th wheel trailer?

xfaxman - thanks for the information. Unfortunately all these units put the lift point too far forward. As my loader has more lift capacity than my 3 point (loader at pins is 1600 lbs, 20" out is 1225lbs - 3 point at 24" behind pins - 1100 lbs) data from owners manual) I need to use the loader as close to the pins at possible.

I have been thinking of the Northern tool one more, even though it is a bit more expensive. With the cut out on the back plate, there is room of the 5er king pin housing to swivel as I turn it.

Any more thoughts on this - I want to make sure I get the correct unit for my needs.

So what do you have in mind to go with the northern one to hook to the fifth wheel?

I was going to get a ball mount and get a cup welded up that I can bolt in, or just have it welded to the shank as close to the frame as possible. I might have a bearing plate as shown in one of the photos. I was thinking of a locking device, but I think the trailer weight will keep it solidly in place. Thoughts?

In all of my searches I cant find a receiver shank with the cup on it yet.

If you could get something like this and have it mounted to the top of the plate would work good. Plus this has a pin to keep it from coming loose.

countrybumpkin where did you find that photo - would be good to have contact information. Also thanks for the Fluney link - they do not have that unit on their web page so I sent and email.

Thanks for the help - it is greatly appreciated

I bought this from Titan Distributors for under $100 to move my dual axle trailer around using my bucket not my front forks. It works for my needs, I don't know what you could do for your fifth wheel.

joeyd - thanks for the thought, but I don't think my bucket will take the weight that far out. I had borrowed some bolt on pallet forks before I got my Terraforce ones, and my bucket flexed a lot. I appreciate the thought though.
