a small bout of snow may be pretty and picturesque .... but being dumped on day after day , isn't any fun .... heck , even the snow plow operators need to get some sleep once in awhile ....

Well it snowed last night!
About 1.5 inches and the city plow came by. (it is in his contract)
Gee, back in the 50's we were lucky if they plowed at 4-5 ins and back then we were all rear wheel drive and snow tires weren't what they are today.
Today we must have proper snow tires for winter (and not all season) subject to fines.
Progress I guess. (or poorer drivers)

Quebec's idea of snow removal used to be " wait till spring , it will melt " that, and lots of salt.

not just poorer drivers , also more of them .... ( and that "must" have proper snow tires, should be mandatory across Canada )

You also had tire chains back then and people knew how to use them!
