I know that the average transaction price on the F150 is over $39,000.Comparing oranges to oranges has anyone bought a F150 lately, with 4wd, 4 door crew cab, short bed, tow package mid level trim for under $36,000?

I priced a 2015 F150 on Ford's website yesterday. For a regular cab long bed 4x4 base model with: 2.7L, Towing package and towing mirrors, it would cost $34,000. If I wanted cruise control, I would have to add a $2000 convenience package. Seems a little steep. Easy to see how Ford can make 90% of their profit off the f-series.Comparing oranges to oranges has anyone bought a F150 lately, with 4wd, 4 door crew cab, short bed, tow package mid level trim for under $36,000?

Yeah
Thanks 94bullitt, I was getting a little discouraged. The $36k for the Canyon was the sticker list price (no discounts) and was a 2015 and the ONLY one on the lot so there would not be much of a discount this early anyway. It looks like a year older (but new), end of year discounted, F150 would be the way to go - - - - Unless the Canyon would be discounted that much at the end of 2015.
(Just in case your links become outdated: the 2014 Fords listed at $32K (MSRP $43K) and $34K (MSRP $46K) were a very close comparison with their features and options to the $36K (MSRP) 2015 Canyon.)
If anyone buys a Colorado or a Canyon please list the negotiated price and the options on your truck.

Here are some Colorados.

These Colorado's are from the same dealer that the F-150's were that I linked. I think they are the largest Chevy dealer in the country. So whatever price they have is probably a pretty good one. I think right now since there are not many Colorado's and Canyons out yet they are not offering much off retail. The best way to find a vehicle is to go on Cars.com (set your max price and sort price low to high) and see what the dealers in your area have. It may take hours to find the vehicle equipped like you want at the price you want.
Saw my first one a few days ago... thought it was a new half ton. They are a big vehicle.
