Guys, I'm looking for a source for a little, half-turn press handle and nut plate for the same. Anybody have a go-to source?
What I've come up with so far is this, but I'd like to make a press so i can secure the saw snugly by the blade getting pinched.

Here is what I finally did: I have a basic cage that can accept a 16" saw scabbard. So that the weight of the saw isn't on the blade, I welded a shoulder with a spacer to clear the saws gripping teeth. To the shoulder I added a very dense rubber pad. The pad supports the weight of the saw, while the scabbard keeps the saw in place.

Good work... looks like it will suit your situation. Obviously you can't open the back glass with the saw in place but if its removed, does the holder obstruct the glass opening? The cab tractor we have at work has its back window open nearly every time it moves, for comunication with the 'ground man' (me). If working alone, much less an issue.

I'd pretty much given up on mounting one directly on my tractor, but I have built three wooden scabbards, one each for my box blade, wood chipper and carry-all.
Eric, are you tall enough to pull the saw up out of the mount, or do you have to stand on something to do it? I have to strectch a bit to hoist the saw out of the scabbard on my chipper chute.

I'm tall enough to pull the saw out. I have realized after using it in the field that I need to safety wire the scabbard into the frame as the scabbard is tight enough so as to try and tag along with the saw when the saw is pulled. At first I thought the scabbard staying on the saw blade was a good idea, but after actual use, fiddling around with the scabbard is more annoying than anything, and especially so since I've good discipline with the saw's own safety lock on the chain.
