Purchased a Max28XL, HST, TLB, 5' Box Blade.

Didn't find anything out about Fitment but the Max 25 is a little smaller, the Max 26 and the Max 28XL are the same I think.

When I get the tractor, still waiting for transport, I wil see what needs to be removed from the tractor versus how long it will take and the money to be made.

I was told by th dealer it will take a couple of hours to remove the support structure but I don't know.
I want to add some HDS upright to support the Canopy and allow for morning a mirror and lights and I may need the Enclosure Mounting bracket to do what I want. I don't know for sure where this is going but as soon as it gets here and see what parts are available I will post some pictures.

But the question isn't XL vs non-XL, it is more the 25 vs 28.

I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure the 22 and 25 are considered "Max" and the 28 the only "Max XL" for our year.

Can anyone confirm that?

Mahindra BHS Thumb is on.

Hoping this tool will help in the rock moving and wall construction.

I to am looking hard at getting the thumb like you have. If you could be so kind as to give a review on it when you put it into service working with rocks and such. On more than one occasion, that thumb would have come in handy while using mine doing various things on the property.

Congrats on your new Mahindra, I was wondering, "Did you keep the Cub"?

I have the same bh and thumb and it is very handy. I've removed many rocks, some pretty large, lifted stumps out of holes, ripped up small trees out of the ground, grabbed into piles of brush and used it like a grapple to drag stuff to a disposal pile.

2 issues I have....

1. it can be inconvenient if you have to switch between having the grapple in 'use' position and 'non use' position very often. The pins are very tight in mine and I have to hammer the pins in and out. I will fix that.

2. When you grab something, you move the bucket against the thumb, which is sort of counter intuitive when you compare it to a human hand. It requires a little thinking. You tend to push the load into the thumb rather than pinch it like a hand would do. It takes a little practice especially if you need to be gentle when picking things up.

I've used hydro thumbs and it's much easier to gently pick something up with them.

But for the occasional user, it's well worth the cost. I use mine a lot.

I am thinking the same thing, it will come in handy. With the SC2450 I have alway tried to jam things against the boom but that was almost useless, I am hoping to learn to use it and make the most of it with the rock work my wife has planned.

At this time I am having a problem finding a reasonable transport, can't believe the prices wanted.
As soon as the tractor gets here I will post some thoughts.

oldprilgrim, thanks for the input, I will check out the pins for fit and I want the hydro system too but the cost was the killer.
I am hoping there is a retro fit kit that works with the OEM Mahindra Thumb.

Got the slightly used Tractor today.
First review...
Looks more rugged than the smaller in appearance SC2450.
Quiet running diesel, has a great sound.
Low range the HST is very quiet, high range a barely audible HST noise, far lower than other tractors I have driven, i.e. JD, Cub-Yanmar, Kubota... To mention three.
Feels good driving it.
Most heavy work needs low range.
You need to stop to put the shifter into high, Does not have the shift on the fly setup.
Had the rear tires filled and it ride a little hard, looking for a good air ride seat.

Let some air out of the tires. It should not ride hard. My experience has been that the machine rides FAR better when tires are filled and have proper inflation on both my 3215 & 7520 Mahindras. Maybe forgo the air ride seat for a good regular suspension seat. Pretty sure that and letting the tires down will more than take care of the hard ride.

AI will try letting a little air out, I thought maybe the filled tires were causing the hard ride.

Any suggestions in letting air out of filled tires ?

I looked at the seat suggested, looks good but most of the reviews I read were for lawn tractors and they all liked it. The only review on a Kubota the guy didn't like the side support.

I will search the web for something to replace the seat, stil thinking some sort of suspension or air ride seat.

Time will tell.

Going to house today and take the new machine for a ride, just to get use to it. Have to read the manual find out the nitty gritty of the machine.
