I am considering building a SB similar to OP's but with a pallet like base so I could move it around with FEL forks. That way it wouldn't stay out in the weather. Sent from my iPad using TractorByNet

I move this around with forks on my tractor. I will also keep it inside most of the year.

Very nice!!!! I am curious what you sealed the bench with. I want to do something like this next summer.
I used a good deck sealer. I'll have to get the name for you. It should last four or five years if I only leave it out six months at a time.

I would like to build one like yours but with wheels on the front legs so I can change distance to the target

The edges are now rounded and the wood has been sealed.

That looks sturdier than what we use, just not as inconspicuous as shooting across the street into the park.

Or as portable.

But it is likely better than our deck railing which is somewhat limited to shooting at passing fish.

I did mine like this because I didn't want a permanent bench in my yard. So if you have one of these.

You could make you own bench top, I can go from nothing to range all set up in 30 seconds.

I went a little more minimalist with my Jawhorse bench. It does make a handy, sturdy base.

I'm linking some Facebook pics because the image downloader seems to be on the fritz for me.
Here it is upside down so you can see the simple board it clamps to.

Geewize, that's not bad.

I now have a Cadwell portable bench.
