Hate to read that. Don't you just love trial by media. As they never asked your side. Sounds like there could be some mischief going on there. But any metal gate that opens by a roadway I always padlock. Especially the one across from one neighbor. As after he backed through the electric gap I had I set large cedars and made him mad when I set one right in the middle of his tire tracks. It's about 8" in diameter and about 42" deep. The one it's tied to is about 14" and just as deep. Hint: have found that large skeet shoots that last a few hours are very good deterrents when you are new to a neighborhood.
Yeah, but even if someone had asked me to participate in one of the stories I would have declined. Nothing to be gained by doing it.

I hadn't even thought about "magic" mushrooms. But if you use grain based feed, you might have them. I've seen cows go a little crazy after eating them. But it could have been some bad feed too. I forget the name of it, but when grain gets a certain kind of mold, it can have similar effects. Larro
Never having had a ram, couldn't a knowledgeable person roped his horns, dragged him to a tree and tied him up? He might have knocked me on my rear a few times, but I would rather have that than shoot the neighbor kid's ram.
