Oh my gosh! Is it just me, or are everyone of those locations more beautiful now than before?

To your point: "Most" people won't argue against the concept of "climate change." What they argue against is that it is "man made" climate change. Yes, in some areas, the earth is warming. So?

Do you believe cave men drove too many SUVs and killed the dinosaurs? Do you think alien spacecraft are responsible for repetitious ice ages? Unless you can answer why ice ages have come and gone - the unfounded charges of "man made" climate change are ludicrous.

The earth changes. Get over it.

How fast do glaciers move ? The little ice age came to an end just 100 years before the majority of the photos were taken, and that came after the medieval warming period. It could be that the glaciers were replenished by the little ice age for the early pictures, as they would be in the future if we have another another ice age.

It is also amusing to note that almost invariably the early pictures were taken in winter and the later ones in summer.. Not a valid comparison. I'm sure you will find plenty of snow and ice in all of those locations in a current winter.

About 15 years ago we took a trip to Alaska. Along a highway--where I don't recall--they had built this nice glacier observation/education center that was located near the terminus of a glacier. The glacier had retreated back around a corner in that large valley and was barely visible. Not sure how many tourists travel in the Alaskan dark of winter to look at glaciers ... but I'll guess that glacier doesn't return in winter.

It is a shame. People are arguing about Keystone XL which would be like tossing an anchor to a drowning person. The interesting social phenomena around man-made global warming denial is peoples' opinions are based on who they are: conservative, right; rather than being based on what they know. A good example of putting the ideological cart before the factual horse.

The fact is that the chemistry of carbon cannot be other than what it is and we've been adding previously locked-up carbon to the atmosphere at a prodigious rate. There is no liberal or conservative carbon, or liberal or conservative laws of chemistry.

The good part is that change occurs slowly, so people should be able to adapt.
It is, what it is. I try not to worry about what cann,t be changed, and try to adapt to what has changed, a day at a time.

The thing that ticks me off about many in the global warming crowd, i.e. Al Gore, is that they are a bunch of hypocrites. I'm willing to bet that his carbon footprint is way bigger than mine, but he justifies it by purchasing renewable energy credits. He should try leading by example, but that will never happen.

Location, location, location.

Let me guess, the pictures were taken in the Arctic, right? Meanwhile, the Anarctic ice is growing significantly.

As usual, the "sky is falling" advocates have to cherry pick their biased data sources.

Yes, he does buy carbon credits, but he buys them from his own online company! Looks good in print but in reality, he's just moving the money from one account to another, plus he gets other people to buy carbon credits from him. I don't care about that dude at all, but he sure does know how to make money
