Need quick info (continental post hole auger)

Mine has a tip just like that, but also has teeth on the spiral blades. What do the other augers use that you are selling that tip for?

I got the auger off. I tried banging on the bent spiral a few times and it appears that it may develop some cracks when I apply the breaker bar and wrench and bend it back into place. This has me considering a replacement auger from the get go. Will this unit run a 16" auger? It will be used in about as good of soil as you can get. I am also concerned about it having two bolt holes, as most of the newer ones I see only have one.

Here is where I think it will crack. I can probably weld and reinforce it, but if I am going to buy a new auger, I would like to replace it with something larger for telephone poles. that way I don't have two 12 inch augers should I be able to fix this one.
