Price Check John Deere Hydraulics to Front $1,832.00?

I'm buying a new 2014 JD 3033R w/ cab, H165 FEL, and 375a BH. I thought it would be nice to have hydraulics to the front to be able to angle a hydraulic plow from the cab. I was quoted a port to the back (EH Third SCV) for $1212 and was told I'd also need a "Line Kit" for $620. Seems super expensive?

Yup, expensive. When JD changed over to the EHV (electric hydraulic valves) the prices got crazy, and there are no great aftermarket solutions either for the cab models for a true 3rd function setup. You might think about a diverter kit, it would be in the $600 range. Artillian has a kit made just for the 300cx loaders.

Thank you for the info. The Artillian diverter kit looks pretty good. I could live without being able to curl and angle at the same time. I think I will leave this $1832 option off of my tractor now that I know I can add this diverter kit if I should decide in the future to buy a hydraulic angle plow. For now I'm going to see how snow removal goes pulling a Frontier RB2172 scraper blade.

Nuts to that noise.

By a universal 3rd function kit if your loader's valve body has a power beyond port you can tap into (that is where fluid is sent back by a hose to the rear remotes and 3pt)

Not gonna work like that on a JD machine, the valves are built onto the tranny case and not external like on most other machines. WR Long may have a 3rd function kit, but it will cost more that the Artillian kit and not be as well integrated.

Deere engineering at it's finest...engineered to separate as much green from your wallet as possible! I'd be afraid to ask what they want for the tractor, FEL and BH. :shocked:

Not cheap? I spent over 2k figuring out my 3rd function.
