Husqvarna R322T AWD mower. Any Good? Got one?

I had one briefly. Didn't like it because FWD was a mistake on our sloped lawn areas. The engine suddenly locked up when I went to start it one day. Couldn't seem to get the engine shroud off. Gave it to a friend who fixed it quickly. He's still using it.

Not it was FWD, not 4wd.

I understand you did not like the R322T mower, but how
does your friend like the R322T mower you gave him ?

I have a similar Stiga which got very cheap, presumably because Stiga has left North America. It is a very good interesting machine. If I was to buy a new machine however, I would compare it with a zero-turn machine first.

I went from a two Wheel Horse GT a WH 414-8 and a WH 416-H to the two Husqvarna R322T, I presently have.
Mowing with the Wheel Horse was a chore, but I really enjoy mowing with the R322T.

It is a two-wheel drive but you can lock up both wheels if need be to get out of a jam. The "jams" can occur often on uneven ground.
When both wheels are locked up it is very hard to steer. You can lessen your `jams`by keeping the speed up .I had a Deines 1860T before (1986) which I enjoyed very much. It is a zero-turn mower.
I use the Stiga just for mowing. Other implements are difficult to find. I use my John Deere 318 with a Honda motor to rototill and blow snow.
The tiller and the blower are John Deere as well.

Bought the husquvarna rt120s articulating mower and the belt jumps off
every time I go up a steep hill . Is this normal for this mower ?

How steep? Its possible that a severely steep hill could put the deck out of plane with the body at the bottom or top of the hill and cause the belt to pop off the pulleys. Usually there is a bracket/guard that keeps the belt on the pulleys even when things get out of plane, I dont know if the rider has one, but id be surprised if it didnt. There are lots of videos out there of the larger Riders working on some pretty decent slopes.. Maybe yours is missing? Something doesnt sound correct.

It's steeper than what the tractor should be going up.
but it just seems odd the belt jumping off a new tractor.
I am really interested in buying the RT322T AWD But
I'm afraid of the same thing happening. Do you know
how steep of a hill they recommend . I think the hill is about
30%. The 2wd one will climb up the hill if its really dry and the belt
stays on . But if you try to go down the hill it takes off sliding and you
hold on for dear life . I just talked to a Husquvarna dealer he said it doesn't
matter how steep the hill is the tractor should spend the tires not jump a belt .

No, it's not normal. But the AWD version will be much, much better in those conditions. We have used both a 2wd and a AWD rider, on our sloping 1-acre lawn, just love the AWD. It just goes everywhere.

The dealer said he was getting a awd one next month . I plan on buying it .
