Probably has to do with safety and having low cost parts. Simple business math really. More of them on the road which drives down parts cost. Highest rated safety pick through insurance Institute for Highway safety for 2014 also factors in.

Fact is its less damage prone so less claims but when there is a claim it's slightly more expensive.

I never claimed any "facts" like you did. You guys seem to make the same mistakes over and over. You make a ridiculous claim and then claim it's a "fact" when in reality it's just your opinion. No, but you do need to provide proof of outrageous claims that you make. This seems to be a common problem for you. you make some crazy statement with absolutely nothing to back it up then act upset when asked for proof. Your reaction is always the same. You never provide any legitimate proof, you try to go personal with whoever is asking for proof. SSDD. Keep up the fine work.

I asked Diamond Pilot, not you.

But since you tried to jump in and post this article I really dont' see anything other than one engineer for Ford making that claim. Pretty easy to see why he has an incentive to say that. It's hardly legitimate unbiased proof that the aluminum panels are stronger.
