Ford F150 SVT Raptor to return

Easy fan boy, ford stopped making it.

Most of the time when a new model comes out it takes a year for SVT to come out with their model.

That's been true for every single SVT model that I can remember.

Had a little Raptor trouble yesterday. Property I watch has one and I start it every few weeks. Went in the garage and it had puked out all it's tranny fluid. Good bit of mud on the truck but no apparent damage. I contacted the owner and we agreed to have it towed to the dealer, he said his daughter had used the truck to get a Christmas tree. She must have blasted through the woods to get it though ! Dealer called to say all the fluid had leaked out, they had a TSB on it but it was out of warrenty and the part wasn't available untill Jan 9th. Good thing he dosen't need the truck till spring ! I'm a Ford guy but that's a bit discouraging.

Is the tsb specific to the raptor? I would assume there to be no difference between the raptor trans and the standard f150.

Ford stopped making it because the frames were bending?
I don't know why ford stopped making the raptor.
Google it and find out.

The ones with the frame bending had an aftermarket suspension that did not have bump stops. It is not a trophy truck......
Wrong I looked it up last night and on the raptor forum a guy I think his name was blueSVT or something like that was completely stock and bent his frame it's well documented. He was running 60 mph.

Look some more there is a thread going about a guy that bent his frame going 60 mph.
Assuming a 3' wide 12" high bump with 1.5' of ramp up, at 60mph (88 feet per second) the suspension has 0.017 seconds to absorb the 6" of uptravel and then transfer the other 6" to the truck. Someone did the numbers on it, but that is a lot of force to absorb in a hurry.

Just Google "ford raptor frame bending" you will see why Ford shelved the whole truck.

The only time they haven't offered it was during this model change over. Anyone who understands the complexity of manufacturing an entirely new model would understand the stagger. It wasn't shelved and obviously they aren't going to quit making it. Why such the rude tone from your posts?
