I wouldn't scrap it. Never know if you can fix it or scavenge parts and pieces for unrelated projects.

I may be missing something with the two pics but I think the most unique thing about is it does not tilt/dump it uses a trip gate?? ...mix from one side dispense from the opposite...I like it...!
looks like great find....

Not for certain but your mixer may be a mortar mixer.

I agree. Mortar mixers are less common and cost more than cement mixers.

As for the Willys vans, you weren't specific, but if they are the right ones they are worth their weight in gold. Most likely though they are the postal delivery type, somewhat popular with collectors, and a handy little truck.

It is definatley a mortar mixer and not a *concrete* (read cement) mixer.

I'd sell it if I didn't want it. Wouldn't bring much, but someone with tire and an engine would love to pick it up on the cheap.

Note: Cement is a fine grey powder (and can somethimes be white) that when mixed with water becomes cement paste. The addition of fine aggregate (sand) makes it mortar and fine aggregate along with coarse aggregate (stone) make concrete. Cement is an ingredient in concrete and mortar. You wouldn't call a cake flower just because flower is an ingredient!

Hey it's a mixer...many mixers are meant to mix either mortar/stucco/plaster etc and concrete...some have paddles that will do either and some have rubber paddles for the former...granted there are mortar mixers that are not meant for concrete but some have interchangeable paddles/blades...many a dedicated mortar mixer has been converted for concrete...
