So a little back-story... A guy a work with offered me an old truck plow for a great price about 7 years ago but at the time I was not interested. A few years later (about 5 years ago) I got my tractor and became interested in the plow and asked if I could still get it. "Sure, i just have to un-bury it from behind the shed." It has taken that long for this to happen, so I picked up last weekend, and spend last week and this weekend building my mount. It is a 7 1/2' meyer plow.

Here is the mounting bar sitting under the tractor while I figure out the rest of the brackets.

Here is the front bracket that will support the weight of the plow, I am also mocking up the lift arm and cylinder. There were some empty mounting holes there that I assume are for mounting front attachments like a snowblower or power brush. I am trying to keep the lifting mechanism as narrow as possible to be able to still keep as many front weights attached as I can. I think I will only have to remove 2, so I will still have 6.

Here you can see the rear braces that go back to the center of the tractor. It hangs from the bottom of the loader brackets, for some reason reason there is a spot with holes, it made a convenient place to mount this. These braces should hopefully support any thrust loads from pushing snow.

Here it is mounted and for testing.

I wanted to check for clearances and flex and wanted to see how my my lights work. Everything clears nicely and there is no visible flex while raising the plow. I found out that I definitely need to make some light towers for auxiliary lighting. I think I will try the TUFF light led's.

I will have to remove the mount again and paint it. I also have to figure out hose routing. I am using the loader ports for lift and tilt, so I can use my loader joystick. In case anyone is wondering, I used all 2"x2"x1/4" square tubing and 1/2" plate.

Nice work! Should serve you well.

Thanks, I hope so.

I do have a question for you guys though. I want to get feet for the plow since I will only be plowing gravel, but I measured some aftermarket feet that are supposedly for this plow (bwcause that's what i could find lically) and the minimum height is 3 1/2"... that puts my blade about 1 1/2" off the ground. Isn't that a bit too high? The wear strip is 5 1/4" so I assume it's been worn 3/4" of an inch. Does anyone know if the oem meyer feet are any shorter? This is an st90 and uses the ski-type runners.

Never been a fan of the Meyer feet, have a tendency to dig in when you back blade. Like the ones, which are basically a bowel with a rod in the center.

Thanks for the advice. I was kind of thinking that. I may buy that type and modifying them to work. I need 1 1/4" shank, the "mushroom" type ones I see are smaller diameter but I could cut the shank off and weld on some 1 1/4" round stock. I can't think of an easy way to duplicate that shape so it would be easier to buy and modify.

Meyer feet aren't worth a **** , find the round ones off a western . Try angelos plow parts on line .

Bush it, put a zerk in it and weld the bushing in. We wear out a set of feet every year, adapating feet gets to be a pain. Also, on the Meyer plow the pivet for the trip, needs a zerk and grease. They are know for rusting and snapping off right there, no big deal to do now.

Here's the lightbar I made... not sure why it's sideways.
