I can't believe no one else has done this. Raise the bucket to forehead height and then shortly after walk into the edge with forehead.

Haven't done that yet, but I installed a canopy on my tractor about a year ago and to this day I still regularly have welt on my forehead from forgetting to duck getting into the seat.

When I was pouring and finishing the concrete apron in front of my barn, I raised the front loader on my L3200 way up and hung a tarp from it for some shade (was a super hot and humid day). Worked well, but later on when cleaning up I walked into the bucket, not once but twice. Had a nice egg on top of my head for 3-4 days.

One time when I went to take trash down on trash day it is about 3-400 feet or so to curb so I just hook the rolling trash bin on hitch ball and drive down with it. Well one day I was in a hurry and drove right on down the road with it. I got about 2 miles when I passed some school kids looking at me funny, took about 1 more mile before I remembered. That thing never missed a beat at 55mph. The bummer is when I remembered I turned around to quickly and it rolled off tumbling spreading trash for 50 yards. Then as I was cleaning it up the kids from the bus stop passed by getting a good laugh.

yup, but I was bending over to pick up a small rock I intended to put in the bucket and stood up to close to the bucket edge.

And had a ratchet rake installed. :(

Just about knocked myself out. Don't know why I didn't bust my skull on the RR tooth.

One other time I was in the woods cutting down trees and limbing them. I was in the process of putting the limbs all in one pile when a branch knocked my glasses off while I was standing in a pile of limbs. I couldn't see which was the glasses went.

I am legally blind without my glasses. I couldn't see them on the ground, in or under the limbs and didn't dare more around too much so as not to step on them.

I had to call my wife to come and find them for me while I stood dead still in a pile of branches.

With the tractor pulled into the barn, I've walked over the Woods mower prolly 50 times without missing a beat even with my arms full. 'Cept for one time. My feet got tangled in the gauge wheel brackets and down I went like a bag of rocks.

About 45 years ago, my FIL was bush hogging the low grounds at the back of the farm. He got off to check the PTO. As he was looking at it, he had his foot under the edge of the bush hog. The hog came down on his foot. He was there for several hours before someone came to check on him. He lost 2 toes. Whenever I check on a bush hog now, I always make sure that my feet are clear of the edge.

Also, while checking the oil on the Ford 4000, I bumped my head on the FEL. Of course, SWMBO, thought it very funny. When I did it again while putting the dipstick back, she fell out laughing. Guy that was with us thought I should wear a helmet. She said I needed to put bubble wrap around my head. I didn't think it was funny at the time.

So - How many times has anybody else but me smashed their shin against the trailer hitch on the back of your truck or tractor....It hurts worse in the winter when it is cold...brings tears to your eyes...hopping around in a parking lot draws a crowd..Next time I do it ...I am going to charge for the show....LOL

Ah yes, one of my favorite ways to self-injure. I love when it happens because someone was too lazy to take their hitch of after towing. Must be a serious inconvenience to take the extra 30 seconds to throw it in the truck bed.

I can see this is going to be a long thread.

In Boston, helpful neighbors will remove your drawbar if you leave it place when parking on the street, usually after it punched a hole in their front fascia. That's the good news: the bad news is that you will never see it again.

I probably don't trailer as often as some of you guys, but I take the dang thing off and store it under the back seat when I'm not using it.
Courtesy! Awesome!

People steal trailer hitches where you live?!?

I do the same thing (take off the hitch, not steal them) since I don't tow very often either...problem is that sometimes the inside of the receiver gets rusty and then the hitch won't go back in.
No, they don't steal drawbars, they confiscate them from people who park on the street and don't remove their drawbars - which takes, what, 15 seconds? I have a wagon so it takes no time to open the hatch and put it in place.

I've found one of the covers greatly reduces corrosion and I spray the hitch with Loctite Endure, a rust neutralizer.

Are you kidding me they confiscate drawbars???are you talking about law-enforcement? What about mirrors do they expect you to pop those in to??it must be different where you live doesn't really seem like a problem here in the Midwest. Sure every now and then someone will bump a shin on the hitch of somebody's car most times it's your own. As far as parking on the street goes you're not supposed to walk in between cars anyways.
