Diesel prices in your area?

Cheapest I've seen here in Utah is 2.99 gal. (on highway diesel) Sure wish I had a 1000 gal tank---cause this won't last forever. My tractor, truck and car are all diesel. Stock up, you can run winter grade diesel in the summer but not the other way around.

As I read this I was listening to a "Morning Joe" report outlining how the drop is due to the increase, and future increase of US supplies and the dropping demand in Europe will likely keep prices down. Barring a sudden foo bar by the Saudi's.

Looking at the chart,

this is as steep a decline as as the last crash.

If they get the pipeline thru it will only keep the price lower.

Or until politicians decide low prices is the best time to jack up taxes on fuel.

Some states have already begun the process. Government never misses an opportunity to get in your wallet.

You can rest assured that the powers that be will jump on this temporary price drop, and look to add taxes while it will be seen as "affordable".

What amazes me is that I saw diesel for $2.40 at a rural store, and $3.11 at a truck stop on Interstate 10 today. I don't understand why there is a $0.71 difference less than 10 miles apart.

It seems the prices are always higher at the truck stops along the Interstate. But yet, the casino truck stops are usually the cheapest.

Diesel $2.55, unleaded $1.87. I had 1400 Brookshire's Grocery points so I got $1.40/gal discount. Filled up my truck for $26.27 for 22.5 gallons. :cool2:
