L4600 brought new this year.. I have owned about 20 used tractors 3 of'em had loaders. I took the loaders off to repair what the loader tore up and did not put the loader back on them... They were not a good loader tractor to begin with so set out to buy a loader tractor. All the used bota's were so high I just brought a new'N... I never thought I would enjoy a loader so much but its good at loader work... It's used as a loader tractor and runs a 6ft bush hog... All my garden jobs get done with a Ford are a Farmall (plow'N and cultivator work) My bota is just not as efficient as they are at it and a bota will never replace them. A man needs more than one tractor anyways :)

L3400 here, best tractor I've ever owned. I have the HST model, and it really pays off doing loader work. I only have about 280 hours on it, but zero problems.

Started with a B- B8200... got a larger Grand L 3130, but it proved to big (really, too heavy) and now we're back to a L3400... hopefully just right. All have been well made and great, reliable performers. Never had a problem with any of them that I can recall, all bought used, but well cared for. Sure liked the features on the L3130, but they didn't make it work any better, just nicer to use. You should have great service from your Kubota.

I have a L3000DT with about 630 hours on it. It has done all I've asked of it. I recently replaced all of the hydraulic lines as the original ones started to crack. Great tractor!

...Any L series owners here?... Any advice or suggestions?
First off, I didn't read all the posts, sorry if these have been stated.

Double check the oil level of the front axle, several have been low.

You should have a suspension seat but many have been stuck. It should have a couple inches of play (I don't think the L3700 had it). http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/129978-l3400-2800-suspension-seat.html

Fuel gauges are marginal, mine reads empty when it's half full.

Not sure when these were fixed but the return suction hoses would crack and allow air to be sucked in, causing steering / FEL to be somewhat jerky.

It's easy to leave the parking brake on just lightly engaged and drive around. Now if I feel the engine straining, I check to see if I left the parking brake "on".

It's a good tractor that should last a life time....

I've got an L3130. Outstanding small tractor. I could use a bit more power...but that is why I have a couple other tractors around...but in its class, it can't be beat. Miserly on fuel, works like a mule, reliable. Only real complaint is price of parts and maintenance supplies from dealer...but they are no worse than any other brand, just me whining.

I had forgotten about the suspension seat freezing up. Mine was frozen up, brand new from the dealer.. Lube it up with your favorite penetrating oil, and tilt the seat forward, then get up and use the ROPS for stability and jump up and down on the seat base with one foot for a while until it comes free. Yes you look like an idiot doing the "Wiley Coyote" stomp on that base, but it is the easiest way to do it. You adjust the tension for your weight with a T handles screw on the back of the base. There is not much info in the manual about how to do this.

I'll print your repair process and put it my manual...... :)
