2007 L3400DT here. I call mine "The Mouse that Roars". DT is the gear model. Just do maintenance , never seen a dealer since it left day of sale. I put a secondary inner air filter in mine that does not come from factory. Still on same original battery. It has been a very dependable unit.

The air filters on my L4300 are exactly the same as my JD790. I did a thread on it a couple years ago.

well maybe that might mean better cross compatibility and competition, because i can't add much other than be prepared for some hefty oem filter prices. The tractor runs so well I can't begrudge it filters for sure, but I think a few of them flew first class from Tokyo.

If you use a FEL, you will sure want to fill a ballast box and/or weight your rear tires. With added weight, the tractor is a lot more stable. And it doesn't seem to mind the added weight.
Most importantly, most Kubota dealers seem to be a cut above.
My last one in PA was and now in NC I am fully satisfied.
so far a first class product from a very good dealer. 190 hours on my L.

Front tire pressure was a costly mistake. I think the manual says 22 lbs. I am still working on best psi so I don't have a good recommendation yet, but with 22 lbs. and a full FEL the tire bead on right front kept failing. That might be a good thread "what front tire pressure do you use for FEL work". :anyone:

I developed bulges at the end of the tread bars on my front R1's at 25 psi. Replaced the tires and now run 35 psi in the fronts at all times.
