You're speaking to the wrong person. I make my living from advertising. Advertising is what keeps TBN free to you. ;)

Free? I think not. Who pays for all the bandwidth required to inundate us with ads? I'm paying $63/month for internet access. Certainly some portion of that is supporting the bandwidth needed for ads. When I buy a product, I'm paying the salaries of the people manning the advertising machinery.

Too many ads on broadcast and cable tv are turning consumers away, destroying what used to be a moderately enjoyable thing.

I understand the basic business model for sites like TBN but due to ad overload many members run Adblock--a parallel to canceling cable tv or skipping the ads, both of which folks are doing more and more. So, now that advertisers have ruined tv, they are working on doing the same to the web.

There are too many people making their living from advertising in the wrong way:) spewing repetitive, mindless malarkey all over the planet. It costs people time and money to avoid it which they will if possible. Contextual ads based on cookie/click info collection is intrusive. It is not welcome and it adds no value to my life.

If a tractor, tool, seed grower, or implement manufacturer produced a truly informative promotion piece about their equipment, engineering, trends, company, employees, etc. a lot of people on here would read or at least skim it.

Here is an example: ReVision Energy January, 2015 Newsletter
I receive one email per month from this company, not thousands of ads, telling me all I need to know or have time to look at. I don't know what else they could do any better to stay in my consumer stream of consciousness while not being a PITA.

Must be nice, I can only get a weak 4G LTE signal and the data plan for that alone is 200 a month for 30GB.

Pathetic. Totally at the mercy of the telco's and cable/sat companies. What a rip off.

When I click on the link, it comes up just fine, and it is not funny, just factual.

Thats because you live in Florida and are probably in an area where you could subscribe to it, yes?I think Riptides was saying it was funny I couldn't access the ad without the phone and ss#?

Yeah, the wonders of the internet, the new advertising model. Send all your personal data to us, to see the ad.

I guess it was not that funny. :)

I've been on TBN for about 14 years. I've never been overloaded by advertising. A few times there may have been some burps in the system, but the management took care of that pretty quickly. TBN costs you nothing. You choose to pay for the internet service you have. It is not a necessary service. Its a luxury item.

Nothing is free, including TBN.

Yes, I choose to purchase internet service, and along with that choice comes stuff I certainly didn't chose to purchase and it's not free.
