Drew you were honest, paid the damages they may only give you 6 months hard labor. Personally think I would have told you to save the court costs and just pay the $25.

And some were saying I was brave ... lol ...

Well at the time you seamed like the bravest man in the room.

There is a thread on this subject. I think it's b "Would your wife notice if you got a new tractor?" I was surprised at how many said they would buy a new tractor without telling wife.

Good Afternoon. 1345, sunny, 64F with 50% humidity. Forecast high of 65F with 0% chance of rain this afternoon, and a low of 48F tonight. Really pretty day out.

I played around with Margie's laptop this morning installing new malware, AdBlock and deleting and organizing icons on her desktop. {It's still slow, but there are no ads now} As a result, I was late starting my lifting and AM cardio. Then Mamma walked over for a visit in the middle of my workout. So I just finished breakfast a few minutes ago. I had kind of planned getting the garden ready for tilling, but I'm reading a good book, so it's a tossup which will get done.

Drew, glad you held up the team's record. Rich white guy wins again:eek:

Roy, you might want to trade your horned hat for a helmet:D

Hope everybody is having a good day,

Larro

Well Roy hope you have luck as good as I did, went to pick up oil and filters for my old tractor and took my son with me. I ended up ordering my new JD, of course I was waiting for the "RIGHT" time to tell the wife when my son who was on the way out the door hollered out "HAY DAD DID YOU TELL MOM YET". I'm thinking of taking him out of the will!!!

The dealer is delivering the 4520 this afternoon...
If I don't post tomorrow morning, it's because I'm either still unconscious or dead...my wife doesn't know it's coming yet.

This post gets my vote for the funniest, best, or favorite post ever on TBN...

LOL...

Love ya Roy! I've got a spare bed in the basement if you need a place to crash!
:D

Margie came home a little early and we went for a walk. It's 67F with sunshine. I wore a t-shirt and shorts, and it was a little nippy in the shade when the wind was blowing.

oh dear...time for a little father son chat. Of course he might turn that around on you someday, when the family car comes back dented. Oh, just hadn't gotten around to telling you Dad. But now's a good time. :D

David/MF, I agree. Too funny.
There but for the Grace of God go we...
personally I think this was a medically necessary tractor purchase for Roy.
And an astrologically correct time for a new John Deere.
And...
little help here

now you might be a little late for this Roy, but with your computer, you might be able to whip up something quickly.
You know, the thought that counts.
This worked for me...
your results may vary

Drew, glad you held up the team's record. Rich white guy wins again

Larro I had a minor in black studies at Brown, another minor in psychology.
To many, we are the enemy. But I think most of those attitudes are urban.
But now I live in a community with a lot more poor blacks, and this being the South, there may be some
long memories here There were two of us in that courtroom with a jacket on. Another older white man there to give comfort to a older lady friend who had caused a bad accident. We wound up on the same bench and inevitably looked at each other and said basically, what are you doing here?

Interesting that I was called before any more complicated ones. Maybe they wanted me out of there earlier, sure was nice.
Of course it helps they went alphabetically and my name starts with an A.

Lot of people being processed for either using or selling drugs apparently. Plus maybe a few burglaries. The police sitting there were a little on edge, not jovial at all, so I wonder who else was in there. I really did get in line for the metal detector in front of a guy saying he had served seven years here, two years there, so while maybe it just might be parole issues, with thirty people lined up in front of the metal detector, I did wonder if everyone was obeying the "no guns" sign as well as they were obeying the "shirttails tucked in" sign. Which was not at all. Up to about age 30, the folks in that room were dressed pretty poorly. probably couldn't give up the home boy look. The only exception was one young man who came in with his mother. Suit and tie.

I did get something worthwhile done today other than skating around the local judicial system.
Got the log splitter out, added some oil it needed, 10/30 synthetic, fresh gas, some carb cleaner, and it started in
three pulls.

which reminds me of a pet peeve. Why would they label an on off switch I or O? How do you know the O is on or off?
Is I always on? How hard would it be to add just two more letters, On and OFF. And make On green and Off red.
it took two pulls on the cord to realize I had it backwards, again, but it nicely primed the unit and it purred on the third.
What does I stand for anyway? In service?

The I and O are electrical terms in my mind.
O=open circuit or OFF
I=closed circuit or current flows through or ON

no court costs, dismissed as if it didn't exist. I had cash in my pocket, they said no checks. 185 bucks saved.
I believe it's time for a nice glass of wine to celebrate a fine day.

/ Good morning!!!! #29,836

Must have known you are new to the neighborhood!
In our area if the damages are payed for, its a dismissal and have a good day. If an officer wants the case dismissed he will contact the prosecutor a head of time then not go to court. Most of the time as long as the at fault party has insurance in a minor accident a verbal or written warning is issued.

that helps. Current is flowing from one end of the I to the other...so it's on.
O is OFF.
OFF OFF OFF
maybe I'll remember it.
thanks

Surprisingly, she wasn't pissed at all...but that might be just to lull me into complacency. I'll sleep with one eye open tonight...

Anyway, got delivered and I gave it a bit of a run on the road. This tractor has worked and not just something in a garage or pole barn. But, some wire-brushing here and there and a few cans of spray paint (Deere green, of course) and it'll look brand new. I won't worry about the bucket (loader or backhoe). They lose the paint pretty quickly anyway.
The biggest surprise is how easy this tractor shifts. It's a Power-Reverser and the gear and range shifts are much easier and more positive then my 4400 is
