Blizzard 2015 Boston

For me, I only need the clutch to engage the pto. And I rarely need brakes with the hydrostatic trans. I don't think it would be a problem for me.

+1 to all of this.

Honestly i think I've used my brake twice.... both times on a hill changing from high to low range.

Not the time of year to take a business trip.

Not something you see every day. Typical Boston back street.

Not really painfull, these machines are built for the heavy snow
areas of Hokkaido island and have been for years.

The overnight snows there would put Donner pass to shame
and make it scream like a little girl.

They make use of huge snow stockpiles moving the dumped snow
with tracked excavators and bulldozers to stack the snow taken from
the streets and they have huge snow dumping stations that melt the
snow that is dumped into the huge concrete tanks.

If someone owned a machine like this or one of the two Zaugg walk behinds
they would be making money faster than they could spend it because
they have so much power and speed when clearing small snow fall
accumulations. I expect to see Yamaha come out with their version sometime.

I found a similar Yanmar model on Youtube.

And this, never seen one but the neighbothoods coulf use it!

Hmm....4 hrs to change over. I get impatient when I have to change the 16" chainsaw bar to the 20". I guess this wouldn't be for me.

Yah, 2 men 4 hours. That would be justifiable for a large university campus or similar type of facility.

If they were giving them away I'd take one, I could put up with the swap over time.

Here's more of what the city and residents are facing. This is at an intersection of three streets. The city has front loader/truck crews all over the place but there were piles like this at every single intersection.
