How's everyone doing with the SNOW

Nothing better than a snow facial first thing in the morning while snow blowing the drive. It's especially fun in the dark and you can't see it coming. -16 with blowing snow yesterday and three days of snow starting tonight.......like was said earlier, the south is looking better and better. Now I got to melt the snow/ice off the tractor so I can attach the FEL and try to clear out the 6' piles by the street....

My daughter lives and works in Boston. Said commuting to/from work has been a nightmare. Too much snow and no place to put it. I'd have to assume they've started trucking it out.

We've had about 2' in the past two weeks here in south central CT that has now packed and melted a little down to maybe 14"-16" on the ground. Most of this next storm is going to miss us to the north thank goodness. I like seat time, but there's a limit when you're out in cold, cold temps with the wind blowing and no cab.

Hasn't bern much snow do far in SW Ohio fonce a came back from Tampa a few weeks ago. Plowed a cpl inches twice with s little cub 3205 with no problems. Really could have gotten by without , but wanted to try out the chains, weights & hydraulic plow. I'm ready to go back to Tampa now ;)

As my tractor is down for repairs I got the chance to drive my neighbors Kubota L2700 with a Snoway plow mounted in the bucket. Nice tractor with hydrostatic tranny. Considering that the owner doesn't have the tires loaded or a heavy enough implement on the back it does real well. It took me a while to learn to ease the loader down as it wants to drop like a stone with the plows weight on the front. The only real complaint I have is the go pedal is on the same side as the split brakes so it is impossible to brake steer while plowing forward. I spent a couple of hours yesterday pushing her snowbanks back to make room for this weekends foot. A quarter mile of banks both sides pushed back six feet or more with a quarter tank of fuel. A nice tractor in a good size for a lot of users.

Here's how much snow is in Boston. The doorbell rang yesterday and it was one of our neighbors fetching back our Labrador Retriever. We have a 3 1/2' high fence, and the snow is so deep and packed so much he simply stepped over the few inches of fence showing.

Feb 1969 we couldn't keep the heifers in because they would walk over the 48" page wire fence surrounding their lot.
