Ah yes, of course ... I only listed them for comparison sake so the OP knew which comparable tractors are available.
37 acres is not a huge tract. Lots of people around here farmed with a 35hp 2wd tractor. You would need at least that much, but 75 horsepower is overkill in my opinion. A hydro saps a bit of power but too big can make your tractor harder to manage. Take a look at a Kioti DK45se hydro.
I think you'll get a lot more personal satisfaction out of improving your property with a small tractor, taking longer to do it, than you will with a large tractor, doing it fast, and making a big payment.
I went and priced a Kubota of about 50 hp don't remember the specifics just a cab and blade and loader with the same options the LS had.
It was 17k more than the LS. **** I could buy the wife a new car with the difference and we'd both be happy.
Ha ha she drives a 93 Jeep Wrangler so yeah she is.
Now that we have a 24 mile drive though it's not an ideal vehicle till she hits the gravel and mud for the last 1.5 miles.
She does not like my F350 its in need of some front end work due to 235k miles and it wanders a bit. So if I get her something then fix mine I can keep it mine.
How can anybody have any idea what will give someone else more personal satisfaction?
Some folks would get more personal satisfaction from getting the job(s) done faster and moving on to other jobs that need to be done, rather than dawdling along with a machine that's smaller.
There's also the fact that a slightly bigger machine doesn't have to be run as hard to do the same work, and should last longer before needing repairs or replacement, so that has to factor into the "bigger check" component.
Sorry I spoke up Bart. Of course you would argue with whatever I said. :confused3:
I'm not arguing, just asking how you, or anybody else, can tell what will give someone else personal satisfaction?
