1 degree this morning with Sun peeking out,we will have a high 4 Today. It sounds like a week of cold weather.

No birds at the feeder yet. I haven't seen any birds in that area. I think they are staying in more sheltered areas due to the cold weather. I've opened up the area around the house quite a bit because it keeps the black and deer flies away in summer.

The Feeders are they by the House???

About 60' from the house near some apple trees. Chickadees and nuthatches usually take a sunflower seed to a tree branch and pick it open there, then come back for another seed. I thought having some trees nearby would encourage them. Blue Jays tend to gulp down down whole seeds or cache them in tree bark crevices.

Thats funny you don't have Birds,I have been feeding the Birds probably 25 years so they know they have it good here.

Lots of specks around here ! :)

Beautiful down here in Florida. Lots of birds here, looked like a whole flock of egrets in the yard this morning. I think the birds up north need some food, based on what the temps are. Haven't seen any tractors down here, so I need to get back home to get a fix!!

Enjoy not having to be bundled up to keep warm.

2F and clouds moving in. Fifty Shades of White Ha Ha. As of this morning's forecast, we are getting 10"-20" of white Sat-Sun. I'll share if anyone feels left out. :D

TXDon, glad you finished your drainage and leak work. I bet your Dad appreciates it.

Eric, about this atom stuff, the Moon is thought to have been formed following a collision between earth and another Mercury-sized planet 4.5 billion years ago. Approximately 100 tons of space dust and meteorites fall on the Earth each day, some of which is the remains of forming the Moon.

I'm pretty sure the best part of me was once a pure Mote of Moon Dust that landed on the wing of a butterfly, from which it rubbed off on a clover blossom. Sometime in 1948 a pair of mammals were rolling in that clover and that mote of dust was inadvertently swallowed and joined with the fruit of their loins.

Yes, I could have been an alien turd, but I prefer the Immaculate Mote of Moon Dust theory.

Thanks Dave, so part of me be moon dust too ? Wow, I may not be a complete turd after all.:)
