Here thru Tuesday. Then back to the snow. I worry about my wife, but she says all is ok.

Lots of history in Rome but I found it too comercialized. Took lots of pictures of fantastic looking building but tried taking the pics showing from the 2nd floor up as the old buildings did not look a beautiful if you showed the Gucci store on the 1st floor.

I've often found secondary cities to be more enjoyable than capital cities. Less hub-bub, more relaxed, less pretense, often better food in average restaurants. But, to see the sights in Rome, ya have to go there.

18 this morning and headed to 35 today. There's talk of snow this weekend. How much nobody can agree on. Going to finish up my mineral feeder repair then back to taxes.

well most of us are shivering it seems, and we all want to warm up to Eric's pics!
Shall we guess the brand? A Massey-Ferguson might carry on the tradition and not upset
the current tractor....

the wind chill outside is brutal. So cold I could not stay at Lowes, where my slobber was freezing before it hit the ground. All the fruit trees came in. Elberta peachs, plums, nectarines. I was in heaven reading all the tags, but need to go back tomorrow with the truck and trailer. Just too cold today; tomorrow should hit 50 here. Going to pick up about 20 trees tomorrow, mostly peaches and apples with two each of plums and nectarines. And the lady there was adamant that every one of their trees would bear fruit the first year. Huh? Maybe, I'm not counting on it for sure. I figured two to three years before anything formed.

Guess I'd better get going with my dormant spray once I get them planted. Need to get that on before they flower. Next week. Have to get the PHD back on the tractor, and that requires help for me.
An 18 inch auger makes a nice oversized hole for the trees and let's me spread the roots out when I can.

About 40f here. I feel so sorry for you guys up north right now. They are saying another wave of colder air coming yet. Possible freeze down here too by Wednesday.

5 this morning with clouds and chance of flurries with a high of 19 today,there saying that is going to be the warmest temp we are going to see in a Week or so.I did refasten the loader frame so we are good to go Plowing.
