How's everyone doing with the SNOW

George, really sorry to hear about your fall. You can manage with one foot if you have to. I use a cane in place of my right foot on a gear Kubota but no brakes that way, so I use the lowest gear and go slow, slow, slow. Gotta stop. use the bulldozer blade. My driveway is level, tho. Good luck

You're right, it works. I just tuck my right foot over in the corner and operate the BX with my left foot. I thought I might have to take the door off and hang my foot outside, but no. I never have to use the brakes with the hydro as it is. However, it all appears to be a moot point as the driveway had been plowed by a mystery neighbor when I got up this morning. Thanks, whoever you are!!!

Just a glancing blow here and blow is the key part. About five inches of snow overnight but the wind is pushing it around and drifting in where ever the banks are high and run east to west. Zero and windy. My soft cab pays for itself yet another time. :)

Plowed 5" last night and another 10" today from last nights storm. -4*F right now with wind chill of -20*.
So glad I have a heated cab today.

You wonder if the money for a cab is really well spent , until below 0 and wind at 30 MPH .Then it is the best money you EVER spent .

Just got back from getting the Sunday paper. I'm so glad that I got these tire cables--the roads are all iced-over. For a $130, these are a good investment and easy to put on, you don't have to jack the vehicle up.

Digging out the propane tanks - normal amount of snow for this area. Not this years snow yet - not too much to date. Just thought I would put these up for general interest.
Cheers

Be careful with that, Jim.....
It seems like we have at least one person a year that is plowing snow and hooks onto a buried propane tank and results in a HUGE BALL OF FIRE !

I'll nominate that for the quote of the month.

These are 100 lb bottles outside, that are for the back up heating system. I like to keep them reachable in case we need to use them. Have had three occasions that my geo thermal not worked and the propane was fired up.
